Communication — written, verbal, and visual — has been the hallmark of Jenna’s professional work, and the art of the well-crafted word is her vocation. Words have the ability to inspire, educate, soothe...but threading them together in a compelling manner...that's where the artistry is. Jenna’s nearly 20-year career with the National Park Service utilized her strong professional writing and editing skills in creative and challenging ways. She excels at interpretive writing, a writing style that intentionally forges connections for the reader at both the intellectual and emotional level. Examples of her interpretive writing can be seen on wayside exhibits throughout Cape Cod National Seashore. You’ll also find Jenna regularly published in The Cape Cod Chronicle and other publications. Sanctuary was penned in honor of the 2016 National Park Service Centennial by Cape Cod National Seashore Ranger Jenna Sammartino. Composer David Cohen was commissioned by the Cape Symphony to create a composition that blended words and music. The piece has been performed at multiple concerts by the Cape Symphony Orchestra. The Place Where I Live
